Private group visit to the house, landscape gardens and, of course, the follies.
As a member of the group myself, since the early 1990’s – I am thrilled that we are able to host the wonderful members of the Folly Fellowship; a group that has so often visited the estate in more difficult times and promoted the saving of its follies, that were in such dire need of care. Dr. Peter Godfrey of the Folly Fellowship, organised the trip and wrote the article posted here, which appeared in the Autumn 2015 edition of the Members’ magazine. Formed in 1988, the non-profit Folly Fellowship exists to protect, preserve and promote awareness of follies in the British Isles and elsewhere.
